Three Facing Fraud Charges in $2.5 Million Theft Case

Kitchener-Waterloo Record

Jun 17 1992 GUELPH Three people face several fraud charges in connection with the theft of over $2.5 million.

The charges stem from an 18month joint investigation by the OPP's antirackets branch and the Guelph OPP crime unit.

The charges are in relation to an equestrian centre that was to be known as Cholderton Farms of Puslinch and Erin Township. They also stem from investments into a condominium project on Argentia Road in Mississauga, an OPP press release states.

The victims are from the south central Ontario area.

Charged are Michael Cyril Jenkinson, 37, and Joan Margaret Blackwell, 38, both from Caledon. Jenkinson and Blackwell were also owners and officers of the now defunct Ansdel Financial Group.

A Burlington man, Trevor Thomas Siddles, 38, is also charged in the case.

The three accused appeared Tuesday for a bail hearing in Guelph provincial court. They were held in custody pending the outcome of a future bail hearing.
